Metadata Configuration

Chart 1: Average Object Sizes

Chart 2: Continuous Object Size Range

 Chart Information
Key Insight: At the current system configuration, the metadata limit is reached when storing 1.19B objects averaging 0.453 MiB each. Beyond this point, metadata storage becomes the constraining factor for total object capacity.

Further Information: These charts show how many metadata records (in billions) your cluster can support based on different average object sizes. The horizontal orange line represents your cluster's maximum object limit based on available flash storage for metadata.

Chart 1 shows discrete points for typical object sizes:
  • 0.23 MiB (small objects)
  • 3.75 MiB (medium objects)
  • 60.00 MiB (large objects)

Chart 2 shows a continuous range from small to large.
  • Logarithmic scale for object size
  • From small objects (0.0625 MiB)
  • To large objects (128 MiB)
